RULES: HORSE RACING
| Racing is the 3 legs of the Triple Crown: The Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes. Q1: Kentucky Derby The women wear fancy hats and the drink of choice is a $17 mint julep that makes your SEC stadium bud light look like a good deal. 20 horses are available and seeded. Choose 5 horses which add up to no more than 19 seed points. For example, you could choose horses with seed values of 10-5-1-1-1 (18 pts) or 7-5-3-3-1 (19 pts), but not horses with seed values of 10-7-3-1-1 (22 pts). You are responsible for knowing which horses are scratched from the race. Seeds are based roughly off the early odds posted here Picks will stay open until just before post time; Sat 5/7 3:30p Pacific. Any attempts to enter picks after this deadline will result in a severe decathlon penalty. Points: 1st place... 100 points 2nd place... 80 points 3rd place... 65 points 4th place... 50 points 5th place... 40 points 6th place... 25 points 7th thru 10th place... 10 points 11th place or worse... 0 points Q2: Preakness Nobody really knows where Pimlico is, altho it sounds like maybe there's a wormhole in Maryland just off Hwy83 that dumps you into New Jersey. Choose 3 horses which add up to 8 or fewer seed points. There are 11 horses are racing, so you get a quarter of the field. Note that only the top 8 finishers will earn points. You are responsible for knowing which horses are scratched from the race.
