2024/2025 Decathlon: Event Summary: Baseball

Changes in 2010:
In previous seasons you received points for postseason wins. This year you'll only receive points for regular season wins (and postseason bonuses) and then we will re-pick the postseason like we do in the NFL and College sports.

RULES: BASEBALL

Q1: Regular Season Pick one team in each of the six divisions. Those will be your teams for the entire year; we will also have playoff picks in October. Points: 4 points for every regular season win above 50. 25 bonus pts to each division champ 10 bonus pts to each wild-card winner 10 bonus pts for a league championship berth 25 bonus pts for a world series berth 50 bonus pts for a world series win Picks will lock Sun 4/11 at midnight (Pacific) Q2: Postseason Eight MLB teams make the playoffs, four from each division. They are seeded (by league, by wins) from 1 thru 4. Pick 3 teams whose seeds add up to *at least* 8 points. Note that your teams can be from either league or from a mix of NL and AL. For example, you could take the 2nd seed from both leagues and the 4th seed from the AL. Points: 20 pts for a League Championship (the pennant) 25 bonus pts for winning the World Series
