| Q1 English Premier League The EPL is comprised of 20 teams; these teams have been seeded and you must select five teams totaling no more than 22 seed points. The EPL season is a home-and-home round robin; each team will play 38 games. There are no playoffs altho 5-6 teams will receive berths in the UEFA Champions League or the Europa League at the conclusion of the season. Furthermore, 3 teams will be relegated to the EFL Championship. Your five teams will earn points as follows: ...3 points for every EPL* win ...1 point for every EPL* draw ..15 point bonus for the champion ..12 point bonus for a group stage berth** in the 2025 UEFA Champions League ...8 point bonus for a group stage berth** in the 2025 Europa League ..10 point penalty for any team that is relegated * During the EPL season, teams will play friendlies and in tournaments; points are not awarded for those wins/draws ** Points are only awarded for a group stage berth in either the UCL or UEL (a qualifying round berth earns no points) Picks are not due until after each team plays one game. Picks will lock Aug18 1145a Pacific. Q2a UEFA Champions League - Group Stage There are 32 teams in the Group Stage. We have divided them into 4 tiers; you must pick 2 teams from each tier (restriction: you may only pick one of Bayern Munich, ManCity, PSG, Chelsea from Tier1). Your 8 teams will earn points as follows: ...8pts: Group Stage win ...3pts: Group Stage draw ..12pts: Advance to knockouts ...8pts: Knockout round victory * ..12pts: Advance to final ..20pts: Champions League Title * This means your team advances to the next round of knockouts. Winning one leg (game) of a knockout round does not guarantee advancing and does not earn points. Picks will lock Sep 6, 945a Pacific prior to the first kickoff. UCL play will run through Jun 2023 and we will repick for Knockouts, starting Mar 2023. Q2b UEFA Champions League Knockouts 16 teams remain alive in the UCL. Knockouts will run from Feb13 thru Jun1, with the teams playing 2-leg knockouts for three rounds and then a single-game Championship at a neutral site (London). We have seeded the teams, and you must select 4 teams totaling at most 22 seed points. Your 4 teams will earn points as follows: ...5pts: Game Victory* ...1pt: Game Tie ...3pts: Round Advance* ...7pts: Finals Berth ..15pts: Championship Note that teams will play 2 games vs the same opponent in each of the first three rounds and our scoring reflects the difference between game results and round results. * The Championship game does count as a game victory, but does not count as a round advance. Final note - Like the NFL, the 16 UCL teams are not drawn into a bracket; once the winners of each round have been determined, there will be a draw to determine the matchups of the next round.
